I had been experiencing persistent audio popping and crackling issues, especially when opening various applications, playing YouTube videos or playing games.
I recently bought a USB-C charger for my laptop and it appears that the charger is causing interference with other ports, including the audio port.
Unplugging the power supply immediately resolved the issue. However, for a permanent fix, the best solution is to use the official charger recommended by the laptop manufacturer.
This may also apply to PC users. You should check whether USB-C devices are causing interference with other ports. Disconnect connected devices one by one and test the audio after each change. Once the crackling stops, you can identify the source of the interference and take steps to resolve it permanently.
